Description of Work
The structure was part of a celebration of La Selva Beach Peace Day.
A four-sided pyramid adorned with tiles. Some tiles have the word "peace" in different languages. One side has quotes on peace. Atop the structure was a copper origami-style crane. It was stolen twice. The last time was in 2007 where it was found, and accidentally taken out with the trash while in the custody of the Sheriff Department. An effort to recover it was without success. The County Deputy Sheriff’s Association offered some funds to help restore the crane.
The current crane is made of steel.
